Sony Worries Microsoft Could Make Call Of Duty Exclusive To Game Pass

The battle over the proposed Microsoft-Activision Blizzard merger continued this week, as both Microsoft and Sony filed documents with the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority Come from Sports betting site VPbet. In its filings, as shown by The Verge, Sony stated that Microsoft’s Game Pass is far ahead of PlayStation Plus in terms of market share, and also said that it’s concerned that Microsoft may make Call of Duty exclusive to its subscription service.

In the statements, Sony says that it believes that Microsoft would have an incentive to engage in four different strategies that would have a negative effect on its business. Those strategies include raising the price of Call of Duty …

AMD’s mini Zen 4c cores explained- They’re nothing like Intel’s Efficient cores-

Intel has been selling hybrid CPUs with a mix of Performance and Efficient cores since the launch of 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs back in November 2021. As it happens, AMD already has its own take on Intel’s Efficient cores, as we’ve reported previously. But AMD is doing thing differently, very differently indeed.

We’ve explained previously how AMD’s smaller Zen 4c cores are functionally identical to full fat Zen 4 with the exception of offering half the L3 cache. And yet they somehow only take up half the space of a Zen 4 core.

So, that’s the same execution and issue width, the same number of registers, the same internal latencies, the works. And yes, that does include multi-threading. But somehow you can pack two Zen 4c cores into the same space as one Zen 4 core? Does cutting…

Ubisoft’s NFT dumpster fire flares up as a matchmaking bug leaves every player connecting and losing to the same confused, unkillable guy

Last week, Ubisoft baffled us all by launching Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles, an NFT tactics game, in the year of our lord 2024. Its characters cost as much as $63,000 in cryptocurrency, despite the fact that I’m not entirely sure what you can do with them once you own them. Mostly, it seems like they’re good for, well, playing Champions Tactics—unless you wanted to play over the weekend, when every player found themselves connecting and immediately losing to the same guy, at the same time.

On Friday afternoon, players began appearing in the bugs-and-feedback channel of the official Champions Tactics Discord to report that ranked matches had become unplayable. They would connect to a game, only to immediately get a server error message. Despite the message saying …
